Pre-conference Workshops Announced
The SPAC Committee is pleased to reprise two pre-conference workshops scheduled for Thursday, October 28 at the Sheraton Suites Galleria hotel. These workshops have proven to be very popular choices for enhancing the SPAC learning experience. Space is limited for both workshops, so make your plans early.
· APMP Foundation Level Accreditation Workshop and Exam – Presented by BJ Lownie of Strategic Proposals LLC. This one-day workshop will help candidates to review proposal “best practices” and prepare to take the accreditation exam. The workshop will cover the APMP syllabus and review key concepts and information covered by the exam. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will take the exam. Results will be given individually and in private immediately following the exam. Open only to APMP members. For more information, check the workshop website.
· Billion Dollar Proposal Graphics: How to Your Turn Text and Ideas into Clear, Compelling Visuals – Presented by Mike Parkinson of 24 Hour Company. Could your proposals be better? Do you spend too much time rewriting? Do you want better graphics but don’t know how? If your answer is “yes” to any of these questions, then this training is for you. Visual communication is proven to increase your chances of a win by as much as 43% while cutting time and cost. Evaluators and decision makers request the same thing, “Help me quickly understand your solution and why I should choose you.” For more information, check the workshop website.

UPDATES and NEWS

If you are old enough to remember going up to a jukebox to insert your dime and choosing a 45 rpm record to play with your dinner—or young enough to enjoy today’s CD and MP3 versions—you know the fun of looking through the jukebox selection. You might find your favorite song or maybe an oldie that you hadn’t heard in years. The best jukeboxes not only reflected the general theme of the establishment in which they sat, but they also offered an eclectic and ecumenical selection that appealed to a broad array of musical tastes.
The theme for the 14th Annual Southern Proposal Accents Conference (SPAC) is “Proposal Jukebox: Don’t Just Spin It… Rock It!!!” The Georgia Chattahoochee, Carolina, and Florida Sunshine APMP chapters will co-host the 14th SPAC at the Cobb Galleria Centre in northwest Atlanta on Friday, October 29, 2010.We have blocked rooms at the Sheraton Suites Galleria.
