Georgia HAP Administrators, Inc.  d/b/a as National Housing Compliance seeks a  Proposal Writer responsible for providing professional consulting services  in response to RFPs and new business opportunities.   The Consulting Proposal Writer is responsible for overseeing the entire proposal process -cradle to grave.

Specific tasks will include: 

  • Lead the technical writing of the proposal process to include the  development of strategic win themes
  • Recommend  changes in scope, format, graphics, slides and content to the proposal team
  • Manage writing assignments and receipt of all proposal materials with authors in accordance with the project timelines
  • Edits  materials for quality, accuracy, organization consistency, clarity, appropriateness and persuasiveness of content, ensuring compliance with standards of style, grammar and format
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), to ensure their engagement and review throughout the proposal development process.  

The Consulting Proposal Writers ultimate goal will be to formulate a proposal document that addresses the RFP request, sells our expertise, and accurately and clearly communicates our culture and approach. 

Required Education Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 years  and a proven track record of winning proposal efforts in the federal government contracting arena, preferably HUD;
  • Masters degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field strongly desired;
  • Training and/or certification (APMP qualified – Shipley trained) in proposal writing and government services business development considered a plus;
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent writing, proofreading, editing, desktop publishing, and organizational skills required;
  • Excellent attention to detail required;
  • Ability to digest concepts quickly and present information clearly and concisely;
  • Ability to consolidate various viewpoints by identifying and building on commons themes or similar goals;
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to effectively gather information needed from files, team members, senior staff members, etc..
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required;
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to accomplish tasks proactively and independently, yet seek guidance when necessary;
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Must be willing to work outside normal working hours if needed to meet deadlines;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel and Visio and/or Desktop publishing software.
