by the end of the year and thank you for your help in reaching the 4,000 member milestone.![]()
• The New APMP Website: After great anticipation, the new APMP website is set to go live the first week of April! You are going to love our new APMP site. It has many great features that you’ve been asking about for years. For example, it has extensive, buildable file libraries, a way to connect with and meet your peers from all over the world, online communities where chapters will be able to interact and share information and best practices in group discussions, blogs, or private messaging, and much more. Most importantly, chapters can use the new APMP website as their chapter home. Now, if you choose, you can also maintain your own chapter website. Suzanne Kelman will be contacting you to schedule a demo of your online communities on the new website.
• We’re Listening: At last year’s APMP Annual Conference you gave us feedback on what you wanted to make your chapter successful. We’ve been working through your suggestions all year long and are delivering. Make sure you are at this year’s Chapter officer’s workshop at the Denver Conference, so we can update you on what we accomplished since last year’s meeting, and listen to your needs for this year.
• And finally, a gentle reminder. Deadline 31 March. The APMP Board of Directors is seeking volunteer members to serve on the newly established Technology Advisory Committee for a one-year term (commencing with the Denver conference). The purpose of this committee is to address technology issues as they arise regarding the new APMP website and other tools the association acquires to facilitate communication within and across chapters and make recommendations to the Board for improvements, upgrades, and potential customization. One representative from each APMP region will be appointed to the committee. Make sure one of your members is represented on this committee. To be eligible for consideration, please submit a one or two paragraph bio, a brief statement on why you think you should be selected to serve, and a written endorsement from your affiliated chapter chair/president to APMP CEO Betsy Blakney at betsy.blakney@apmp.org. Applications for the position are due no later than 31 March.
