Given by Mitch Reed,
PPM.APMP, MBA, WBDS Corporation, President, Business Operations (Mitch Reed BIO)

In the Commercial proposal development world and more and more often in the Government Task Order Response work, proposal managers are being asked to provide complex proposal responses in two weeks. How do you design, tailor, implement, deliver and evaluate winning Rapid Response Proposals while ensuring they are compliant and responsive in the short timeframe? This presentation will discuss how proposal managers can apply an approach to achieve the following:

·         Disciplined Approach:   An inclusive and comprehensively clear approach proposal managers can apply day-one to ensure RFPs are fully addressed and managed in a systematic project management approach

·         Increased Productivity: A fully developed Rapid Response Proposal Development Process tested by real companies to produce winning proposals

·         Repeatable Procedures and Forms: Ready for adoption  to manage the development and production in an orderly and efficient manner

·         Techniques and Best Practices: Enable proposal teams to know in advance:

o    What has to be done?

o    Who is responsible for performing each task?

o    When and in what order each task is performed?

o    Working together, how the work will be done?

The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel, 6345 Powers Perry Road NW, ATL, GA 30339 Registration details to come.

January 18th, 2012 Chapter Dinner Meeting Recap

The January 18th Chapter Dinner Meeting was a huge success.  We had over +45 (members and guests) attending the first meeting of 2012.  It was a great night for networking, chapter news sharing, and a "tongue-in-cheek" presentation entitled "How to Lose Your Proposal Really Big" , given by our speaker, Sandy Luttrell (GA Chapter Membership Chair).

Sandy shared the five "sins" that many proposal managers may commit as they respond to a proposal and thereby lose their proposals "REALLY BIG". The attendees also heard five helpful hints to help them and their teams as they create compelling proposals and turn that Losing proposals into a "WIN".
